Local community projects and causes are often difficult to fund. That's where a Community Foundation can help, raising and providing funds for start-up projects and ongoing contributions to worthwhile charitable projects and programs.
* The Community Foundation attracts funds for investment in the form of cash, trusts, bequests, shares or property.
* The
majority of funds are aimed at generating interest
for project funding. Options exist to request
the trustee to establish a named management account
for substantial donors and involve the donors in
the grant making by making recommendations to the
trustee, to support an area of identified community
need or an identified community organisation, for example.
The trustee can then acknowledge the donor in making
grants, or the Trustee may agree to acknowledge a person
in memoriam.
* Confidentiality of donations will be respected at all times.
* The Community Foundation for Tumut Region is a public company limited by guarantee, incorporated under Corporations Law. The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors representative of towns and localities across the shire.
